New Affordable Housing Coming to Lahaina
Thanks to Kahoma Village, for the first time in close to 30 years a new construction affordable housing development will be offered on Maui’s West Side. Kahoma Village will be a total of 203 units spread throughout the 21.56 Acre parcel located just south of Lahaina Cannery Mall. Sandwiched between Front Street and Honoapiilani Hwy the location offers easy access to Lahaina Town, Baby Beach, Safeway, and the Lahaina Gateway Center.
New Townhouse and Single Family Homes will be Offered. Of the 203 units, 102 will be Townhouse’s ranging in size from 1,000 SF up to 1,223 SF. The remaining 101 units will be Single Family Detached Homes ranging in size from 1,304 SF up to 2,194 SF. The Community Plan is designed to all for walkable streets and a choice of Plantation Style or Seaside Cottage Architectural Design will be offered.
What is the latest News?
Pricing is expected to range from the high $200 K up to mid $700 K. Ground officially broke in October of 2016 but no official sales information has been released yet and no official waitlist has started. It is still unknown when sales will begin. Once the public report is released, a lottery for the affordable owner occupant units will be held. Everyone will be given ample time to submit a reservation before the lottery is held.
